In D.C. citizens are not allowed to have weapons. Goverment officials seem to approve of the ban on weapons for the individual.
This could be why. Of course the citizenry doesn't need weapons. They should just hire a body guard or two like every low level politician does. I mean if they can pay for it with government money - money they get from you, then you should be able to afford it too.
